Business, politics and economics are closely intertwined in the energy industry, as sector developments have implications for a wide array of areas, ranging from household economics, industrial competitiveness and macroeconomic policy to environmental concerns and geopolitical considerations. The course aims to help energy industry professionals and students with a professional and /or intellectual interest in the energy industry to develop a good understanding of the Turkish power, gas and petroleum markets as well as the links between national, regional and global energy markets. Important issues and trends on national, regional and global levels will be highlighted. The course will feature executives from Turkish and international energy and consulting companies as guest speakers, and each session will provide ample time for student questions and comments during and after the presentations.
