Completed her undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from ODTÜ, graduate degree from MBA at Bosphorus University and obtrained her Phd from Administration at Marmara University. She did her research at Sussex University and completed projects on technological capacity at various sectors for Ford Foundation and IDRC. As a founding member of Istanbul Bilgi University, she served as the Rector from 2001 - 2005 and in 2009, accepted the role of creating Engineering department. Since 2003, she serves as a delegation member for European Council Science and Women Helsinki Committee. She is the author of books, book chapters, and artciles on Automobile industry published internationally.
